Hong Kong - a bustling metropolis will surely come alive with fireworks!
Taipei - home to the second tallest building in the world will be positively glowing. The country is also very well-connected and an escape to the quiet of the countryside the night after for a good soak in a hot spring would be easy and very lovely!
Bagan -- Quiet and calming, perhaps tranquility best ushers in the new year.
