Dim Sum at Old Hong Kong Kitchen.

Groupon was having a wonderful offer last month - $10 for a $30 cash voucher at all Old Hong Kong restaurants. So I bought it. This was more than three months ago!

One day before the coupon expired, I decided I had to do something about it and grabbed G out for a dim sum brunch! We decided to head to Old Hong Kong Kitchen because it was (relatively) near where I lived, and also because they offered a 20 percent discount on all dim sum ordered between 2:30pm and 5pm, an offer that could be applied even when used in conjunction with the voucher!

Hurray!

We ordered 7 types of dim sum - xiao long bao, rice rolls with pork, egg tarts, char siew pastry, custard buns, pan-fried carrot cake, stewed meat with mushrooms, organs, fish maw wrapped in beancurd skin and two desserts, a chocolate molten lava cake and ice-cream served with mango sago to end the meal.

They were all very very good and one of the best dim sum I've had in a long while. The bill came up to $42, which is quite reasonable because we had such a spread! Of course we only paid $12 after flashing our voucher.

It turned out to be a very relaxing afternoon, one of the best in a very long while. :)

I'm going to stalk Groupon for more of such deals. Yum!
