searching for good hotels.

In the search for good value accommodation across Canada, we've made sure to keep the word "BUDGET" emblazoned on our foreheads. But our resolve is slowly falling apart as we uncover more and more gorgeous places too perfect to resist.

And so the dilemma of which sort of accommodation to pick begins!

Hostels are infinitely cheaper options, but they provide a universal experience  - single mattress with linen on rusting metal frames no one bothers to dress up; cheap breakfast of plain toast and an assortment of spreads (depending on country), a boiled egg (if you're lucky) and coffee or tea; small toilets and white lighting; lost of noise; lots of beer and free wifi; friendly staff; well-located and importantly, relatively safe.

Bed and Breakfasts inns however though slightly pricey will ostentatiously provide the absolute Canadian experience, won't it?

Which would you pick?!
