Sin Huat -- round #3

Derek was in Singapore! And since he had taken us to the best and yummiest in Richmond, we also had to take him to the best and yummiest, not to mention, the most expensive hawker food in Singapore, right?!  (Actually, it was also a good excuse to eat at Sin Huat again la!)

Of course the crabs were the highlight as always. Three huge, gorgeous, meaty pieces of crab with super crazy yummy bee hoon! His bee hoon is the type you can eat non-stop, the type that makes you forget all   your table manners.

We also had fresh succulent scallops cooked in bean paste. Derek, the food connoisseur said he would return just for this (and the crabs of course)! We agree! :D

a HUMONGOUS fish. We couldn't for the life of us figure out the name of the fish. Actually, I think only Geri and Dillon (divers) were interested in the name of the produce. The rest of us are cannibals incarnates and couldn't wait to chiong its thick, white flesh! It was super shiok of course!

Of course we also ordered his other specialties including his gong gong and a plate of vegetables.

After which, we went for durians!

Jamie and I should obviously never be put in charge of bargaining, because I've no idea how our choice of 2 durians grew to urm, 9! Madness!

Of course the Mao Shang Wang (not just any kind of Mao Shang Wang but the 'Durian Champion' Mao Shang Wang (according to lao yang, owner of Wonderful durians - we serve the best durians in Singapore(yes that is its full name!)) was the winning favourite! The surprisingly tasty ones were the tiny, orangey golden Phoenixes's that lao yang had also thrown in for 'free'. They tasted a lot yummy that we had all expected.

Sorry for the huge, phallic durian picture here! haha. It's the only picture we have (credits to Geri!) lol. But it is certainly durians at its most orgasmic!
