I'm back!

The flight back was uneventful, except that it was delayed by a good 1.5 hours. I'm a little upset that I'm back but also very thankful for a safe, exciting 20 days in Scandinavia. Apart from eating a lot - salmon platters after herring platters; the occasionally kebab; hummus and hot dog (including organic ones); hot dog topped with mustard and ketchup and gherkins and fried onions; tall double scoop ice-cream wobbling on crispy waffle cones ... I also got lost in a forest, okay, in a mega huge nature reserve, Abisko National Park, 195km north of the Arctic circle and spanning 77km square.

But all is well now because a little birdie led me out of the forest and I'm back here in one piece after an otherwise rather uneventful vacation.

My bags are unpacked and a sense of normalcy and routine has returned, somewhat, together with the stress, pressures, and heat and humidity of our lil' tropical island.

Monday  - and a whole new world awaits.
