I'm not a brand girl, fashion girl or a facial products girl, I'm a travel girl!
Yet, when these lovely branded bags came my way, it was hard to say no. Where they were cheap and deemed necessary by both heart and mind, I happily paid out of my pocket, where they were presented to me as birthday gifts, I graciously accepted.
Presenting my new spoils (not in order of preference)... I'm over the moon!
From not even being aware of the existence of Kate Spade, I now own two Kate Spade products. I've come a long way, haven't I?
The boyfriend bought this for me on the sly as a birthday surprise. What a watershed event! He hardly buys me anything fashion-related. He did however put his online skills to good use, buying this bag from a Singaporean dealer (i.e from the Kate Spade black market) and paying more than a hundred dollars less than its US price tag! Smarty pants!
Although most of the bag is nylon, it has leather finishings - the base, and the handle. I like that it has some structure (so my files and A4 worksheets still fit perfectly without peeking out) but not too much structure (so it is flexible and can take me from work to a causal night out).
One of the best things about Kate Spade is its quirky, fun fabric. I love how the lining isn't just some old piece of boring cloth, this one spots big spots!
Last in this line-up: a white timex watch a gift from my father who was in the USA for a shipping convention. Also from an outlet store so it turned out to be less than 50 bucks! I know timex isn't a great brand, but this had everything I was looking for (and I've spent the last six months looking for a watch since my very first watch, a swatch watch bought on top of a mountain in Switzerland broke) - a second needle (very important for my line of work), a date counter and most importantly, it did not look too dainty.
That's all for today, folks!

The first is a lovely tote bag from coach.

| Coach Tote Bag from the Coach Signature Collection in Black fabric. |
This bag was bought as a gift from one of the Coach outlet stores in the USA so it was ueber cheap! Less than a hundred Singaporean bucks! What a steal. It is probably an old model (I'm a travel girl, I really don't know my brands ;)), but in my eyes, it is a classic piece.
I like bags with structure because they have a no-nonsense, don't mess with me quality. The leather straps both soften and smarten the look, making it a perfect companion to pencil skirts and pin stripes.
Perfect for the Central Business District!

| Kate Spade Jane Nedette black zip around leather wallet |
For years, my red Toscano wallet (a free gift re-gifted to me by my mother) has served me well. But since last december, the fabric has started to tear. So when I got to Hong Kong, I made sure to pay citygate outlets (yes, its an outlet store!) a visit. I knew prices would not be as low as in the USA, but I badly needed a wallet that was affordable and vastly different from my red Toscano one (that meant chucking out other options like braun buffel and renoma).
So I picked Kate Spade. It was between this black Jane Nedette one and the classic model (classic Noel Nedette). While the Jane Nedette had a smooth leather exterior, the Noel Nedette was wrapped in black and white fabric. I get bored of fabric easily, so I opted for a leather finishing. I also liked the lime green interior; very fresh! It's like opening a regularly wrapped present expecting something boring but being surprised instead.
