The MAXIMUM day time temperatures in most of eastern Canada averages at -15 degrees so I know to be prepared to freeze my ass off. What winter clothes should I bring though? I'm determined to make sure of most of what I have at home so I'll be decked out in 100% woolen long johns that belong to my dad (when he was a really young and skinny boy), a 100% pashmina sweater that we bought in Nepal when we holidayed there 2 years ago, an incredibly thick woven turtle neck pullover belonging to my mum and an assortment of other jackets and sweaters that I own.
As for gloves, they are a brand new pair I bought for myself in New Zealand that are made of merino wool and polyester. I'll wear them under one of the many pairs of gloves my family owns. I'll be taking several pair so jeans along and tights and will probably get a pair of ski pants for myself quite soon.
I can't decide between getting my pants from wintertime (they are not made of fleece material but corduroy. They are reversible and they look fairly good costing only 65SGD), cold wear (they look like ski pants and cost 63SGD a pop but they have a fleece layering), or from other shops such as North Face which sell these at least 200SGD per pair but look a lot nicer than Coldwear's and wintertime's!
